Not sure which type of Ukulele is right for you? Here is a quick breakdown on the different types of Ukuleles. There are four types of Ukuleles, Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone Ukuleles. The Soprano Ukulele is the smallest and most common size of Ukulele that almost everyone starts on. The Soprano produces the traditional Ukulele sound. The Tenor Ukulele is slightly larger than the Soprano and has a deeper fuller tone. The Tenor Ukulele is a step larger and its overall sound and tone is even fuller. For performers, the Tenor Ukulele is a great pick due to its rich full sound as well as its additional frets which allow the performer to reach higher notes on the fretboard. The Baritone Ukulele is the larges of all Ukuleles. This type of Ukulele is tuned down lower and produces a deeper sound. Which you can still strum it like other Ukuleles, you really loose the bright crisp sound that sopranos product. The Baritone Ukulele is great for blues players and fingerpickers who prefer this deeper and fuller sound.
