The famous Strunal factory is the largest string instrument manufacturing facility in Europe in the CzechRepublic. Strunal succesfuly builds upon a rich tradition established by master craftsmen since the second half of the sixteenth century. Initially, these master craftsmen started making violins in their homes and shops. Later several craftsmen would get together to form small manufacturing groups while continuing to make violins, lutes, bows, guitars and other string instruments.
Today, Strunal utilizes the traditional craftsmanship of our educated violin makers as well as state of the art tooling and technology design by our engineers. The location of the Strunal factory enables us to take advantage of the best european resonance woods. All of these important aspects guarantee our customers that the instruments from Strunal will have superb acoustic features with traditional European design and quality. Strunal instruments are designed and produced for the professional artist as well as the intermediate and beginning student.
